After another great season of indoor soccer, my team, Chaos, won first place in both division 3 and division 4. I’m also proud to say that I won the top goalie award (for both divisions too!).
The season is broken down into two parts: Fall (September to December) and Winter (January to April). Here are the final standings:
Fall (Div. 4)
7 wins – 2 losses – 1 tie
37 Goals Against
Winter (Div. 3)
9 wins – 1 loss
28 Goals against
One last thing that I am proud to show off is my team’s player stats, especially mine.
Yes, I scored all 4 goals from my goal area, drop-kicking it and aiming it just right to get the ball passed the other team’s goalie. I’ve done it in the past too, even managing 6 goals in total one year. It’s not the easiest thing to do. I’m probably the only goalie in the league that can do it, at least scoring that many goalies as goalie. I’ve seen probably one other goalie actually do it, but she only scored the one goal for the whole season. This is part of the reason I love playing indoor soccer, even more than outdoor soccer. I can actually participate as another member of the team and I’ve been with my team long enough that they trust I know what I’m doing.
I’ve been playing soccer for nearly 20 years and it never gets old. I’m addicted to the awesome feeling of the adrenaline during an intense game and growing as a player each year. I’m really looking forward to this year’s awards ceremony (be on the lookout for a future post).
