The air is getting a little chillier. Green leaves are transforming into vibrant yellows, oranges, and reds. Apples are ripe and ready to be picked to snack on, make pies and apple crisp with. And slowly, pumpkins are making an appearance too, waiting for the right family to turn them into handsome or haunting jack-o-lanterns.
This time of year is my absolute favourite. Not only is October time for autumn weather, but it is also spook season. The people who know me best know that I love Halloween. It’s my favourite holiday. I can’t seem to get enough of the folklore and traditions. I always make an efforts to watch my favourite Halloween movies every year too.
This month I’m hoping to read as many Halloween themed books as I can. They’ll be spooky, mysterious, suspenseful, or scary.
Here are some of the books I hope to read this month:
A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
The Demonologist by Andrew Pyper
Eyes to See by Joseph Nassise
The Night has Claws by Kat Kruger
The Halloween Tree by Ray Bradbury
A Sudden Light by Garth Stein
If you love October or Halloween as much as I do, feel free to join in!
